As I wake up, the birds greet me with their joyous chirping. “That’s odd, they are not this active in the winter.” I think to myself, as a ray of sunshine hits my face. The sun normally doesn’t shine so bright either, I think suspiciously.
The sun was indeed shining bright as can be, and outside, the weather was perfect, and the air crisp like a summer breeze. As I walked outside, the trees and plants were bursting with life, resembling a typical spring day. A slight breeze passed every so often, a welcome guest to balance the sun’s rays.
The entire day seems almost like a dream, and it feels like spring has finally arrived. Alas, as I look at the calendar, to my disbelief, the month reads “January”. While it may have been quite annoying to find out spring was still very far away, it was a nice break from the bitter cold of January.
