We freshmen are going through Freshmen Seminar – an opportunity to experience the various electives offered at our school. In this class, we go through and experience all/most of the electives (Art, Music, Engineering, etc.) that we can take in the next 3 years. I assumed that in each class we will be going through the syllabus and get some lectures, but I was far mistaken.
In engineering class, we learnt about 3D Printing. It’s similar to regular printing, but it also adds a third dimension, Depth. When it prints, it resembles an actual, real-world object, not just a 2D representation of a real life model. Not only did we discuss about the structural drawing, we got to use a 3D printing program to create a placard with our initials on it. It was very satisfying, and I had a lot of fun doing it.
