A Sketch of Vincent Van Gogh

0

This is a sketch of Vincent Van Gogh. I created this sketch for my ELC project, similar to the sketch of Claude Monet. This sketch will also feature on my project display board showing the people who contributed to the art of Impressionism. The same techniques were used to make this sketch. The only difference was the type of shades and the style of face as well as body.

Note the patch on the left side of his face. His ear was severed by his friend Gaugin who was also a painter and skillful fencer.  Gaugin lopped of Van Gogh’s ear with the fencing sword and ran off saying it was his attempt to escape from the man he considered “crazy”.

Hope you enjoy the sketch.
