Today I presented my project on Viscosity to people at the 5th South Shore Science Festival. It was my 4th year presenting, and it was fun to teach little kids (and adults) about this concept, and how it applies in the real world. It was also great to get to know some of our elected representatives and senators from Quincy and the neighboring areas encourage kids to get involved in the STEAM initiatives.
In particular, I had the honor of speaking briefly with Senator John Keenan, about my project. It was nice to talk to and get a picture together with him, and I thank him for taking time out of his schedule to come here. I also had an opportunity to interact with Senator Walter Timilty and thank him for taking the time to visit and discuss my project.
I want to thank the organizers, including Mr. Manuel Barosso and Ms. Kathy Hogan for organizing this event and encouraging me to participate. It was a fun experience, and I look forward to doing much more in the coming years.
